"You made this happen, Eliza," Jayvin's voice was low, cruel, as he traced his finger along the edge of her skin. His touch sent a shiver through her, his breath warm against her ear as he spoke again, "Now, I'll make your life hell."
Eliza's heart pounded as he lifted his head, locking his eyes with hers. Fear surged through her, but her hands were bound, leaving her with nowhere to run.
"The hell I've been living for the past six years," he added, a sinister smile playing on his lips.
With every ounce of her will, she resisted, but his gaze burned into her, and the darkness that surrounded them was all-consuming.
"Shall we begin..." he whispered, his words laced with a promise of torment that she could no longer avoid.
