Joe Bones was living a simple life in Bloxwich with a stepdad who hated him and a mother who hated him even more.
One day he sees a sign for a job in the window of the local funeral home and he decides to apply. What he doesn't realise is, that this funeral home is no ordinary funeral home. Not only is it run by Death, herself, but it is also the gateway to the underworld.
Death's sister, the ruler of the underworld, has run off with Death's scythe and Joe has been chosen to be the one to get it back.
Except, he doesn't know that yet.
