[undergoing editing] Harper Laurel is probably a name that you'd hear at school for being Lakeside Private's star swimmer and future valedictorian candidate or maybe you'd hear her name on the local Los Angeles newspaper as she appears at her parents' business gatherings. Her parents, Robert and Marcie Laurel founded the famous Laurel Laptop, LLPT for short. In a way, this 17-year-old is famous. Unfortunately, her family has secrets and revealed secrets can go two ways: They either make or break you. So maybe she put herself into this when she met the people that changed her life forever. Maybe change is good, it could make her the once happy person she used to be prior to her regretful encounters with past elementary school bullies. As a lost soul, this is Harper Laurel’s Life More Than Just A Nerd. (the first couple chapters of this book is what I call a poor excuse of writing) ========== Copyright © 2014 by @Vivifirerune All rights reserved. Featured on @TeenFiction (Funny Bones) Book 1 in Belong Series Zoe Richard/Brown lives a life every girl dreams of, yet she can't shake the feeling that something is missing. Her world turns upside down when she discovers her father isn't dead-never was-and she travels to another state to meet him and her half-brother, hoping to find where she truly belongs. Griffin King is a player who cares about no one beyond his friends and family. When Zoe enters his life, he finds himself caught between loyalty to his best friend and growing feelings for the girl who happens to be his best friend half-sister. Will Griffin help his best friend push Zoe away, or will he help the girl he unconsciously cares for find her place? Will Zoe survive her brother's fury and earn his acceptance, or will she be forced to return to the life she left behind? All she wants is a place where she belongs. ✶ ✶ ✶ I followed her eyes wandering around the circle and halted on me. Her lips curved upwards and my forehead creased in confusion. She stood from her place and ambled towards me, making my eyes go round. Why the hell is she coming towards me?! Stopping in front of me, she bent her beautiful face and peeked at me through her eyelashes. "Can I kiss you... Griffin?" She asked, blinking her gorgeous blue eyes. Holy Cow! She expects me to answer that?! My throat suddenly felt dry, and no word come out of my mouth. From the corner of my eye, I saw Will glaring at her while others snickered. My eyes automatically fluttered close as Zoe leaned in until our noses touched. I felt my heart thumping in my ears and my breath hitched. F**k, I'm in trouble! ✶ ✶ ✶ [Words count: 60,000 - 90,000]
