A sixteen-year-old called Edela lives in a small, primitive village with her parents, brother and little sister. She's the middle child of the family and loves the others dearly. Her homeland is underdeveloped so they're lagging behind the rest of the world. The story takes place in the past, somewhere around 1940. Edela mostly takes care of the food, with her brother unable to hunt because of his partly amputated arm and left leg. Her parents need to take care of him for a little bit because of this, but he's able to do a lot himself anyway and he tries to help his family as much as possible.
One day Edela went into the forest nearby her home to check the traps she had set the day before, but she never returned from this hunting trip...
This is English version of the Dutch story "Jagersmeisje" and I changed up the storyline and names a bit. I will try to finish this book in English, but if a lot of people would like to read it in Dutch, I will translate it.
If you have any tips or ideas to make the story better, let me know! When there are any spelling or grammatical mistakes in the book, I'm sorry. English is not my native language, but if there are any mistakes let me know, that way I can correct them.
