Ella has been going to group therapy to get over an abusive relationship, the only problem is, she's still in it. Armando is an overly jealous, controlling boyfriend who can't stand the thought of Ella leaving him. When she gains to courage, with the help from a friend, to end their relationship for good, he ends up getting into a horrible car accident. With no one else to take care of him, Ella takes up the task.

Armando thinks that Ella has no other choice but to stay with him now, but he doesn't know that she's fallen in love with someone else. The very same friend that convinced her to leave Armando, now has her heart. Ella is torn between being loyal to the man she loved for years and starting a new life with someone who's given her nothing but happiness.
