Skylar Holmes: The Last Hope is the second book in my sci-fi/English-classics mashup trilogy after the first, Pride and Prejudice and Superheroes, and before the third, Starship Wuthering Heights. We see the second appearance of the race known as the Equalisers. Born January 6th, 1894, Skylar Holmes the daughter of the legendary private detective Sherlock Holmes is collected by the Equalisers and dumped two thousand years in the future. She is bonded to a shapeshifter called Piron who cannot leave her side for longer than a day without both of them suffering debilitating pain. Skylar has to solve a crime. She has been told she is the "Last Hope". But is not told what she is the last hope of. And to make matters worse, she is not told what the crime is that she has to solve. Skylar Holmes: The Last Hope is expected to be a 153,000 word mash-up sci-fi/classics detective novel by T. J. P. Campbell divided into around 60 chapters. It has been edited and proof read, but this is a pre-published version with good grammar and punctuation. All efforts were made to make this a well-written novel for those wishing to learn and experience the finest qualities of the English language. The published version will have a slight improvement. Amazon at present does not allow the published versions to be read on other publishing systems. Minimal images are included to enhance ease and speed of reading on phones and laptops. **This Wattpad novel version shows the opening handful of chapters which is less than 10% of the full novel as I am selling through KDP (Amazon/Kindle)** The Equalisers Series (A Trilogy) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0C1GJG372 Skylar Holmes: The Last Hope Available at Amazon on July 4, 2023 https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0C1F3TG1X Cheers, T. A mysterious death. A life in the balance. When do the ends justify the means? John Watson wants nothing more than to head home to 221B and have a hot cuppa, but Sherlock Holmes has other plans. The famous composer, Rebecca Frost, has died. Her elderly butler insists she was murdered. Sherlock takes on the case, only to face the additional complication of Vivian Walker - the unexpected heir to the Frost Estate. Someone wants her dead, and it's up to Sherlock and John to protect her, whether the stubborn woman wants their help or not. But more than one danger threatens her life. Solving this mystery and keeping Vivian safe may prove their greatest challenge yet. Book One of the Hooked on a Feeling series *** This novel is AU, as it was written prior to the release of Sherlock Series 3. As a result, there is no Mary, Sherlock's parents are very different, and Moriarty isn't back. Sherlock has returned following The Reichenbach Fall, and he and John have repaired their friendship. There will be no romantic relationship between the two, only brotherly love between the best of friends. There will be bickering though. Loads of it. There will also be moments of angst, hints of a developing romance (Sherlock/OC), and of course an intriguing mystery. If that's your cuppa tea, then put your feet up and relax. You're in for a treat! You can expect a new chapter posted every Friday. Happy Reading!
