Raw. Real. True. This story takes an interesting twist. It comes from the "Queen-B's" perspective. Not the schools "badass" but the Regina George of all schools. This book gives her story. Her problems. Her friends. Her point of view. Angie Price, the school's goddess. You might think she has everything any eleventh grade girl could ever ask for. But that's not the case. Angie has a not-so fabulous home life. Both her parents are in the household, but neither of them are actually "there". Read as Angie battles depression, self-harm, and her biggest competitor -her self. ~~~PREVIEW~~~ Tears ran down my cheeks as I ran to the girls bathroom. I just could not take it anymore! That man, that horrid, disgusting man! How could someone be that sick to do something like that to a minor. He is ruining my life and I don't even know who he is. I needed relief. I locked myself in the biggest stall at the very end of the restroom. I rummaged through my purse for the painkillers. I finally found it and poured two into my hand and swallowed them. As my worries began to fade all I could think about was that man, how he ruined my life, how he made me scared of everything, how he raped me... WARNING! 'I've had cancer all my life, and they don't know how much longer I'll last.' -- They met on social media and became close friends. But they both held secrets. Luna Myers was a cancer patient, and had been since birth. She had constantly been taking chemo every week or month since she was old enough for the medicine. She basically lived in the hospital, but the cancer kept coming back, no matter how much the doctors kept helping to get rid of it. So she spent time on the internet, with people she met across the globe, including Ember Olive. But there was only so much that they could do before they had to give up and face the fact that she was dying. -- Ember Olive had been diagnosed with severe depression since he was fourteen, going to therapy and group meetings ever since his diagnosis. He only ever felt the tiniest bit happy when he was on the internet, with his internet friends. The only thing raising the meter higher was Luna Myers, the happy girl that kept his spirits up, and the thing that made him want to hide everything wrong with him from her. -- But this book isn't about them. It's about their night at prom, and confessing secrets. It also involves what happens afterwards. :)
