Hitoshi came from a very broken home.
His mother was deathly ill when he was young, and while they were sitting on their couch watching TV his father brutally murdered his mother in front of his eyes. He was helpless and had to deal with his abuse until he was taken away and put into the foster system where he jumped from house to house because the kids were scared of his quirk and the parents didn't know how to handle him. Soon he was put into a foster home that treated him horribly, the other kids would attack him until he was left in a ball. His ' parents' would laugh and get in on it, calling him 'vilian' and other names.
One day after the sports festival he came home, because his parents refused to let him stay at the dorms, and beat him for losing. A neighbor had seen them and called the cops and heroes that's when Aizawa and Hizashi showed up......

Back at UA, Shinso is finally going on his first hero mission as an apprentice to the one and only pro hero Eraserhead. There's just one problem. His first mission is to rescue a student that's in the hero class he's been trying so hard to get into. The boy he once looked up to, who shone so bright he seemed nearly untouchable, is now reduced to a vulnerable, traumatized teen that he's been tasked with taking care of.
