Down-on-his-luck James ‘Jay’ Pastrana resorts to babysitting after a horrible break-up (he faces divorce-papers, really), creating a reputation for himself around the town of Bath for being the go-to-guy when it comes to his job thanks to his calm demeanor and unorthodox babysitting ways. He struggles to pay rent, to make due in his newest job and his only friends are his roommate, Terrence, and his next-door neighbor, Mitty, a teenager with an IQ for three people.
His life is quite pitiful and he doesn’t deny it. However, things change when finds meets the older-sister to one of the punks he babysits, he decides it’s time to do something with his life besides keeping an eye for teenagers that can take care of themselves or spoiled brats that could use a good smack.
He decides it’s time to begin again.
After all, life is full of chances, right?
