Years ago, three adventurers made a choice that would haunt them forever-they betrayed and murdered a fourth companion, burying the truth along with his body. Now, in the cursed wilds of Velmourn, the past claws its way back. When the trio discovers a strange journal in the ruins of Emberhold, they think it nothing more than an artifact. But each night at midnight, a new page appears-written in a hand they all recognize, revealing secrets only the dead should know. As the journal leads them through haunted lands and toward the truth they swore to forget, the adventurers must face what they did-and what follows them still. Because some pages refuse to stay unwritten. And some ghosts refuse to stay dead.
