(I am just kind of writing from the heart here and this is most likely not going to be published, but if it is, I will be very surprised)
I walk into my kindergarten classroom ready to learn, but not ready to talk and make friends, if I'm being serious, I have never seen the reason in talking when you can use your hands. 'It is so much more fun to do it that way,' I think to myself and giggle a little when I sit down at the colorful chair and table set, scribbling on a coloring sheet that my mom gave me before I left the house, then the teacher walked in
"Hello class, I am Mr. Stamp, what are all of your names?" he asked and started pointing to all of the kids around the class having them say their names
"I'm Izzy," one girl said
"Jayden," another said in a low voice
"Kate," a cheerful voice said
"Madeline," a nice voice chipped up
"Jack," a male student said
"Jenny," a girl said with two girls at her sides
"Alison," one says
"Ashley," the other says
Then it was time for me to say my name, but I was just quiet as I scribble on my sheet
"Um, can you tell us your name?" Mr. Stamp asked me as I looked up to him and stared him right in the eye and shook my head and held up a sign, 'NO'

On a early Sunday morning; Echo is getting ready to head to her parents house to spend the day with her family. There's a knock on the door. Echo opens it, surprised at the smiling figure of a male looking down at her. "Hi! Is Izzy here?! I have to drop off her notes!" I say as I walk up to it to open it. But a loud static sound comes over the speakers. "Hello students of Clover University. It seems we've had a glitch in the locking system. We're not sure how long it will take to repair. So unfortunately you're stuck in the dorms until further notice. We're sorry for the inconvenience." The speakers make a beeping sound then go quiet. I sigh before throwing my bag on my bed and plopping down. I pull out my phone and call my parents, telling them what is happening and that I won't see them until they fix the issue in the system.
