Kiara was 9 when her parents were murdered in front of her, making her an orphan. For five years, she was bounced around the foster system of New Jersey before she was left in the care of a woman named Tera who Kiara dubbed "Aunt Tera."

Tera had been a friend of her mothers when Kiara was young and when she had found that Kiara was in the Foster system, she took custody of her. Two more years have passed since then and Kiara has just turned seventeen and is about to start school in a new town called City Falls.

To make matters worse, the popular boy in this new school takes an interest in her, following her around like a lost puppy whenever he can and calling her "his", but Kiara has no interest in finding love. All she wants in life is to find the man who murdered her parents and get revenge; Jersey style.

My Mother Runs With Wolves

51 parts Complete

A genetically unique but emotionally lost teenager must figure out who she is within her mixed-up, warring world of Shifters and Wolfstalkers. ***** It wasn't Maddie's choice to be born a half-breed, half Shifter, half Wolfstalker -- a hunter of Shifters -- and it wasn't her choice to keep her identity a secret. But after trying to attend high school like any normal sixteen-year-old, things quickly spiral south when her Stalker uncle finds out about her and catapults her out of anonymity and into the awareness--or possibly the crosshairs--of The Order of the Wolfstalker. Maddie must think fast and figure out a way to keep herself and her family safe, or risk losing everything. Including her life. [[word count: 70,000-80,000 words]]
