The Afton family is central to the lore of the "Five Nights at Freddy's" series. The story begins with William Afton, a talented engineer and co-founder of a restaurant chain that features animatronic characters. As the Afton children grew up, the family dynamic became increasingly strained. William's obsession with his work and the darker side of his ambitions began to cast a shadow over the family, leading to tragic events that would ultimately shape their fates.
