Lucy wakes up beyond the walls and is pursued by a Titan. Not being able to use magic in the strange world she woke up in, she runs for her life. Lucy is soon saved by a very well-known Survey Corps squad member and is taken into questioning.

After learning her story, Levi swears to teach and train her (after a trial, of course). In return, she has to join the Survey Corps. She, from the start, wanted to help the people of this world and agreed.

Lucy learns she would probably never get back to her world and never see her spirits or friends again. This only fuels her grief and she swears vengeance against the titans who terrorize the people of the world she now calls, home.
