Once upon a time, there was a kingdom made from the skeletons of great, fire-breathing beasts. In this kingdom, there lived a bloodline of immortals with crackling fire in their veins. Efilia had heard of those immortals, those few humans with a power so great it created fear in the hearts of weaker men. She didn't know she was one of them until the fire tore out of her in a fit of rage. On the run, alone and afraid and struggling to control herself, Fi is a dragonblood. Sent to hunt her and bring her back into civilisation, Kellan never imagined the path she would throw them down. He never thought that their great kingdom might not survive her.

Something had happened in Fae, something so big that it broke the number one rule. Whatever had happened, was big enough to affect the humans. First there had been rumours that the mass die off of politicians and top international business leaders had been targeted in the largest revolt in all of history. When no group came forward to claim responsibility, eventually someone noticed a pattern, that nearly all the dead, were known to be corrupt. Whatever had happened, Rhys wasn't going to stick around in the cities to see what had happened. He grabbed his bike, and took off, planning to set up in some remote mountain. Ride out whatever disaster was coming. Fate however, had other plans, and Rhys found himself in the middle of exactly what he had been running away from.
