Winter break is on the horizon. Since moving out, Artemis Bradtke's older brother and his best friend have always taken the long way home as a pre-Christmas road trip. Now, Artemis and her best friends, Saoirse and Alaia, are old enough to go along on the trip.

Veyn and his best friend Adam have always been adventurous spirits, they know that. They were wild children with wide imaginations. So, once they were old enough, they took a hold of the opportunity to make every break an amazing one. Now, Veyn's younger sister and Adam's younger sister are coming with.

Thing is . . . Veyn's been crushing on Artemis since they were in middle school. And Artemis has been crushing on Veyn since the day they met. Both have ignored their feelings for years. Now, a road trip from Chicago to Santa Fe will test the limits of their self-control around each other.
