His curse is to be reborn without end, without rest, without memory. Only madness. Now Jack is on the run from forces he doesn't understand. It's a new world. The mundane replaced by ethereal artificial intelligence, spontaneous virtual realities, and homicidal bible salesmen. But the creator promises the demon's voice will disappear as soon as he finds the right girl, the right bond. After that, they just have to escape the clutches of those who hunt them, find the Isle of Song, and free the creator from her prison. Or maybe this time, in this life, Jack will figure out what true freedom is. More about the lives they lead without the masks. But just keep in mind, people who live in the world have all different skin colours. Do not assume my characters are of one unless I state them explicitly. and diversity is welcome here in my novel! Anyhow, back to the story. Ever wonder where supervillains go after their fight with the hero? What about the other side of the story? It's not like they sit in their lair cackling all day and planning how to kidnap reporters. What about the lives they lead? And instead of just focusing on that, what if the superhero and the supervillain knew each other? I mean, can they see behind the mask? No, so their identities are secret. So what if the hero and villain were best friends? What if they were roommates? What if they were falling for each other? And what happens when they find out? Now, I assume you know all of these questions will be answered in this book. But hold on. It's going to take a while. You're in for a bumpy ride. Trouble keeps finding the small group of demigods at Camp Half-Blood and Camp Jupiter. The world has been shaken to the core, yet mortals couldn't have been more blind. This even goes for a small group of friends that recently moved to New York. But are they really mortal? Hailey has lived in Wisconsin all her life, yet she never seems to stay in the same spot for more than a few years. She has seen every crook and cranny of the dairy state, but after an accident, she finds herself in the state of New York. She lives with her grandma in a small house in the suburbs of Manhattan. Despite all she's been through, she loves living with the one person she felt closest to, away from trouble. Until now. Beth has grown up in the Windy City and stayed there for her whole life. Her mom has decided that going to New York for vacation would be a good idea. They're now staying in a hotel close to the beautiful sights of Long Island Sound and hopes to relax. But then she sees something by the Sound. . . . Cornelius has grown up in the ghetto and has learned to be tough. He's picked up many things on the streets and has lived off his wits and strength. He has now moved to Manhattan in yet another ghetto. But will he be tough enough to face the challenges ahead? The three friends have reunited only to be whisked away by a mysterious teenager. Now, they're all they have. They will learn to work together and save the world. Who is the enemy, and will these new friends succeed? None of the characters except for my OCs belong to me.
