Avery Emerson and Alex Brooks or better know as their couple name Avex, are childhood best friends who are upcoming actors. A hit movie makes them famous beyond their wildest dreams and leaves them living their best lives. Although, things start to turn for the worst when Alex decides that he can't be tied down by someone anymore because he lives for the newfound attention the ladies are giving him.

This leaves Avery heartbroken and constantly seeing her ex sporting the new flavor of the week everywhere always leaves her feeling hurt.

In comes, Nathan Wilder. He's the new bad boy in the movie industry. He rises to stardom fairly quickly and knows he's the new golden boy. Avery finds herself starring in a new lead role with him as her leading man. Soon he suggests an idea to help Avery get back at her ex and show him what he's missing. This includes them fake dating and becoming the new "it" couple. However, what happens when feelings and tension start to arise? Will things change between the two of them or will they both be left heartbroken in the end?
