Once upon a time, there lived a majestic King, who ruled throughout the land. He ruled using fear. He had overthrown many lands and defeated mighty Kings. His people feared his wrath and his heart was plagued with untameable anger! Until one day. The Queen gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Her birth warmed the King's heart, causing him to correct his ways. The King understood that one must rule with love and loyalty, tranquillity and trust, respect and reason, faith and friendship. And so King Henry of Torren was loved by his people.

Years later, King Uthur Pendragon died, leaving his 14 year old son, Arthur Pendragon to rule the only kingdom that was equal to Torren, in both strength and size. King Henry saw this misfortune as an opportunity to take over Camelot, but just before the plan was completed, the Queen lost the twins she was carrying, a boy and girl, so the war plans were forgotten and Torren fell into sadness. A year later, the Queen had a son, which brought back the cheer throughout the kingdom. But the King abandoned his brutal plans. Many years passed and the two kingdoms had remained separate, then one day King Arthur Pendragon made his way to Torren with the purpose of creating an alliance!

That is where Princess Katelyn comes in. She is the Kings beloved daughter and is enjoying her good and easy life. Her best friend and maid, Elizabeth has always been at her side. Their lives change dramatically the moment the Pendragon brothers come into their lives.

So just to clarify, all I am borrowing from Merlin is the Kingdom and the characters. But the rest is mine. As in the backstories and relationships may not match the shows'.
