Through The Wind

I try to focus back on the real world, bringing my thoughts back from my crazy mind. Outside a loud noise erupts, making the house tremble again. I jump as a bright light enters my room, seconds after the booming noise. Tt pierces my eyes through my lids, alerting me to its presence. Some call storms relaxing, I call those who do, crazy.

I bring my head up from the wall, the knot in my head forming an ache that is refusing to leave. I push my bangs out of my eyes and tuck them behind my ears. They do not stay there for long. I open my eyes as they drift back to their original spot. I really need to cut my hair, I think to myself.
