[Y/n] has lived her life wandering on her own for over a decade, ever since that incident at Hyrule Castle, when she was still a child.

However, when an ancient evil threatens to destroy the kingdom, and the entire world with it, [Y/n]'s darkest and deepest secrets will be at risk of coming to the light.

That strange young man seemed to be nothing more than an outsider, and yet... why is his magic stronger than even hers?

Why is her past suddenly haunting her again after all these years? With the Hyrulean Royal Family taking even more drastic measures to counter the approaching Calamity, [Y/n]'s past, present, and future will be completely transformed-or destroyed entirely.

At the same time, the newly awakened Wind Mage hides the knowledge that will prove crucial to saving-or dooming-everything you hold dear.

Only you can unlock your lost memories, the ones which you buried deep within your heart... Before you set everything in motion for the world's imminent destruction.

Blighted Memories by Bard13

Amnesia was a funny thing. It strips you of all memories, both good and bad. But what it didn't take away from Link was his caring heart. He wasn't a man who had time to deal with or worry about things like memories anyway. All he cared about was doing what was right. But just because Link had no memories, or any interest to reclaim them, didn't mean they wouldn't return to haunt him. Ever since Link woke up, strange things have been happening around the land. Horrific creatures, not quite monster and not quite human, begin appearing at night to terrorize the denizens of Hyrule. Link, not one to simply let such evils do as they please, decides to investigate into the matter as he travels across the land to find a way to destroy these creatures. It should've been just another job for him, just a problem the people needed solved, just another errand for the incarnation of Hylia's hero. But as he investigates, he is haunted by his past. Link's mind cannot remember what happened. But his heart did. He still feels what he lost, what he failed to protect, even after one hundred years. That's what draws something toward Link, the very same evil that created the creatures he faces. It follows and watches him from the shadows, taunting him, waiting for him to remember the past he's forgotten, waiting for the pain to resurface, waiting for the time he can no longer carry the weight of it all. As he journeys on his quest to defeat Ganon and save Princess Zelda, Link must learn to contend with another ancient evil that taints the land, all while facing the ghosts of his forgotten past. But how long can a disgraced hero last in the face of his failures? Cover art designed by @DaybreakVision on Twitter. Some themes may be upsetting to some readers. Viewer discretion advised. "Princess!" he yelled after her. "Where are you going?" "Back to the castle," she replied without stopping. "Not by yourself you're not!" "I'm sorry,"-she whipped around-"I didn't realize you were my father?" "Your father, the king, would execute me for letting you travel by yourself." "Oh, so this is about self-preservation?" "Yes. Yours. There are monsters all over Hyrule now, Your Highness." Blue eyes pointedly looked her up and down. "And by the looks of it, you're not equipped to handle that." She mirrored his scrutiny and scoffed. "What, and you are?" She gestured to the cairns beyond the trees. "Are you going to protect me as well as you protected them?" Calamity is upon Hyrule. The Goddess Hylia appointed but two children to prevent the end of the world. The powers they were promised don't come easily, and after years of outright failure, Princess Zelda can't help but wonder if Hylia chose wrong. It certainly doesn't help that the boy fate has tangled her with makes her seethe. Devotion, heartbreak, inadequacy. Faith, perseverance, and courage. This is a story of finding what lies within. [This story is set in a fusion of Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom, with a couple tweaks and some familiar faces'n'places from older games joining along the way!] Thank you for the #1 spot in the Zelda tag! 💗 And thank you for #1 in PrincessZelda, LinkxZelda, Zelink, Midna and BreathoftheWild tags!! "Why do you keep looking at me?" Y/N finally asked, her eyes still focused on the book in her hands. Hermione's voice was gentle as she replied, "I like looking at you." "Yeah?" Y/N asked softly, her voice barely above a whisper. Hermione nodded, her expression filled with a warmth that made Y/N's heart race. "Yes," she confirmed, her eyes never leaving Y/N's. ✴✴✴✴✴ Y/N Crimson, a 13-year-old girl, has recently discovered that she possesses the extraordinary power of the Flame, marking her as one of the "Blessed Children." This newfound blessing, however, proves to be a source of confusion and frustration for Y/N. Dumbledore, the enigmatic headmaster of Hogwarts, offers little guidance, leaving her bewildered and without proper training. He insists that the power must be developed by the user themselves, further adding to her struggle. Complicating Y/N's life is the presence of her half-siblings, a result of her father's affair. Despite their shared blood, Y/N vehemently denies any connection to them, refusing to accept them as her family. Her denial is met with skepticism, as those around her find it hard to believe. Amidst these challenges, Y/N's journey takes an unexpected turn as she discovers the existence of other individuals like her, fellow Blessed Children. This revelation raises questions about their intentions. Are they potential allies or adversaries? Y/N is left to wonder whether their encounters will be marked by hostility or the possibility of forming new bonds. DISLCAIMER! This book follows the plot of J.K. ((read whole description to know what you're getting into xD)) There is a secret hiding in the nation of Hyrule. For centuries this land has been a democracy, but few actually know just what is going on behind the scenes. What use are the old tales when no one even believes in magic anymore? Zelda is a girl who lives her life trapped within the walls of her family's mansion. She only leaves to go to school, and there she meets someone who will quite literally change her life forever. ((Please don't swear in my comment section. If you do, I'll delete it. Hate speech, swearing, and inappropriate comments will all be deleted.)) WARNING; This story has only been partially edited and I cringe to high heaven reading it. I don't mind you enjoying it, so I'll leave it up but don't judge my writing by this book. If you can't stand it, like me, please head on over to Raising the Stakes, which I have put much more time and effort into and is a million times better. The Legend of Zelda is (c) to Nintendo.
