"School's full of kids who try to act cool, but who grew up basically cut off from the normal world except for the internet and social media. So except for "friends" online, all 127 kids at Avery High only have each other for friends, allies, and enemies. You get pretty used to the kids around you. You find out pretty soon who you get along with, and who you don't. But because you can't just ignore the people you don't like, you have to develop a really useful trait. Tolerance. But some people don't do tolerance. Kids are jerks, they can't help it sometimes. And so the bullying that happens here is can match the bullying that happens at any other school. Except it never stops. It never changes.
People pick on the same people they have since fifth grade. There are no new victims. There is nothing new. You're stuck where you are, no matter what. Everyone has a place that's set in stone. You just don't step out of line. You can't. It sucks, but it is what it is. It's tradition, in a way. The culture of Avery Middle and High Schools. No escape. Nothing new.

Loading Game... Building Sceneries... Creating- romance? Parallel. It's a common word. You can probably hear your math teacher screaming that word in a kid's face, can't you? However, that won't be the case here. This is about parallel worlds. For Meredith and Lukas, they didn't find that out so quickly. Bullied and shunned for being the daughter of two famous and quite elite people, the students in Meredith Tanner's high school drove her off the cliff, resulting in therapy sessions once a week. Lukas James was in a different situation. He dropped out of high school (which disappointed his parents) and became a YouTuber, live-streaming games of generation A to Z.
