"Because your revenge is just around the corner, Sylvia Warren." His voice had been distorted into a demonic growl, sending shivers down Sylvia's spine. "An evil is rising in the castle, growing more and more powerful until it can snuff all of Erilea into darkness. You must be vigilant for you are the only one who can stop it before the world as you know it is destroyed." Sylvia finally gathered enough courage to speak. "What are you?" The thing inside Arobynn, for it was clearly no longer him, paused and seem to study the woman before it. "A shadow of a god long lost to history." His eyes began to fade back to Arobynn's, and his voice faded with them. "Do not fail, Sylvia Warren, you are my last hope." Written in the Throne of Glass story line by Sarah J. Maas, Sylvia Warren was just a healer living in Rifthold when her partner and friend was accused of practicing magic to save his patients, leaving Sylvia with nowhere to go and a swirling head. But when a self proclaimed king becomes seemingly possessed and forces her to enter the Glass Castle Sylvia will accept what she has shunned and rise to regain what was stolen. *I do not own the Throne of Glass series or any of the characters found in it. A Song of Flame & Shadow - Eris x OC
Vel, an Oracle older than Prythian itself, visits the Autumn Court at the request of its High Lord. While there she gets swept up in the court's political scheming, with Eris trying to win her favor using any means necessary. But all is not what it seems and her visit is cut short by a bloody betrayal. Now, alone and afraid she must escape Autumn and get back home. - Perhaps she'd misjudged him and he was actually going to slice her open. Vel decided she wasn't going to stick around to find out. In the blink of an eye, she squeezed her palm between the blade and her neck, scraping most of the skin off in the process, and with her other arm she elbowed Eris in the stomach as hard as she could. The dagger clattered to the floor slick with her blood and Eris released her, stumbling a few feet back. She turned back towards him, palms up. Blood was pouring down her left arm, dripping into her sleeve. He'd already produced another dagger from Mother knew where and was about to throw it at her face. "Wait. Eris. We want the same thing. We could work together if you would just trust me." Eris narrowed his eyes at her. "Trust you? Do you genuinely think I'm simple?" he hissed out the words, trying to keep his voice low. "You want me to trust you when all you've been doing since you got here has been sneaking around and spying on us."

[COMPLETED] A hundred years had passed since the war against Hybern. Life was back to normal until a fae child fell from the sky and claimed to be from another world. No one in the Night Court understood how the gate between worlds could have opened, but Azriel had an idea. It was something big. Chaotic. Dangerous. He could feel it in his bones, like thousands of strings connecting to one thing. Hear it in the whispers that traveled from the east. The shadows that sang horrendous cries of something evil shattering. And then a gate between worlds had opened. It had to be linked together. The strings all tied back to one person. His mate. "So who the heck am I?" I stared defiantly at Freya. "I am a normal person. I go to high school. I have parents. What am I ?" I asked. "That is what we need to find out. Do you trust us enough to stay with us? Help us? You are powerful. You are the only Palenthian, first time in centuries who has magic inside her. Powerful magic. More powerful than most Valen. I can feel it. Stay with us and help us slay monsters. Please." I gulped. "What will I get for that?" "Answers." Renna Evans was just another normal girl in another normal world, living with her normal (and filthy rich) parents and going to a normal high school. Basically her life was as normal as could be. Until she went on a normal walk on a hill side. Little did Renna know that from that point, her life would be anything but normal. Welcome to the world of Renna Evans; a world which is divided into two parts. Those who call themselves The Valenthians, possessing power and magic; and those without it are the Palenthians. What is Renna, really? Will she be able to do what is called upon her? Will she be able to place the pieces of the puzzle which will give her the perfect (or heart-shattering) picture of her past? Will she be able to prove her worth in this new world? Or will her world collapse? And what about the handsome but mysterious Ryan Carter? What exactly is he hiding? Renna will discover a world of peace and war, love and hatred, trust and betrayal; all in her single quest for one thing. FREEDOM.

    The Convert Queen: Prophecy Fulfilled
    * ONC 2023 Shortlister * "She caught the eye of one of the horsemen, and something in his face caused her to pause mid-step. The man he was standing with, realising he was being ignored, turned to see what he was staring at, and his mouth fell open. 'Arner! The prophecy!' he hissed. That seemed to attract the attention of the whole party, and before Aleyna knew what had occurred, they had all stopped what they were doing, and stared openly at her, before tilting their head in her direction, bowing. The last of the men to lower his head, the one who had first spotted her, was now biting his lip, something like worry creasing his brow, before he too bowed." * * * Aleyna, a professor at Lyknisia's Academika, is from a world of science and reason. To her, magic is something found in children's stories. It's not real, has never been real, and never will be real, and nothing anyone can say will change her mind. Arnerstrom, known as Arner, is King of Mynythia. He is from a world of magic and spirits. A world where the unseen is just as powerful as the known, and where prophecy dictates almost everything. But when a prophecy appears to be fulfilled by chance, Aleyna is whisked away from her books at the behest of Arnerstrom, and taken to a land of mystery and secrets. A land where magic is very real and spirits govern all. Set in the same world as The Winter Ghost, but located many kingdoms apart, The Convert Queen is a fantasy romance novella where what you see isn't always what you need to know.
