So now stuck in a run down hotel, working away in a bakery instead of living the life like a normal seventeen year old girl and doing everything in her power to stay under the radar Evelyn never thought her life would lead to this. All she wants to be is the forgotten girl who disappeared without trace and just get on with life but when running into an old childhood friend everything just became ten times harder.
Can Evelyn really pull it off living life under the radar or will the reality of what life really is catch up and pull her under?

Esther calls her ' sakodo' but she was given the name slit-faced girl by the people who saw her. But those people that feared or saw her died the next day. Why do people die the same? How do people die? Most importantly, what killed them? One day the girl suddenly disappears. Nobody knows where. A few days after she disappeared, all that was left of her was forgotten. Nobody knew who she was. All traces of her were gone. What really happened to that girl? What was her name? Where did she disappear to? What was the girl's backstory? As the story unfolds.
