Talia Cooper (real name Stef Foster) is one of the hottest rock stars in the world. Pushing fifty her career spans over thirty years, and shows no signs of stopping. Unlike her love life which she put the brakes on years ago after she and the love of her life decided to part ways while they each pursued their own dreams. Just months before her 50th birthday, Stef's team begins receiving letters from an anonymous fan each one more menacing and sinister than the last. Faced with a bare-bones security team, her manager hires a new company to take over her protection.

Lena Adams is a  recently retired detective. Traumatized by being the key witness in the murder of her partner, who also happened to be her lover, she is recruited to work for her cousin Tyson and given the position of head of Stef's security team.

The only problem is Stef and Lena have a past. A long and complicated one. Will they be able to overcome their differences in time to find out who is threatening her or will their sexy battle of wills keep Stef in danger?
