Cosmic Star's life never seemed simple like any other normal pony, whose young age of an unlucky pegasus prematurely saw the reality. He remembers how much his mom used to be with him, playing in the park, racing in the sky, watching the stars at night. Those were the good times, but the only family he had loved was already gone, and he was on his own... Now that he was a Senior Firearm Manufacturer working for the war-industrial Ministry, putting an end to the Great War was his sole purpose with a secret weapon by his making, if it really was a way to avenge his past suffering. But that bitter moment didn't come to pass after the megaspells were finally unleashed. As if his life was no more, instead, he wakes up in the middle of nowhere, sitting upon a land of death with a little of life to be found, then wakes up again on a dirty mattress in front of strange ponies. Despite the horrifying experiences of Equestria's darkest shadow than it ever was before back 200 years ago, he realizes he has something worth living for in the apocalypse than anything he had known in his entire life.
