Sophie is a girl who is depressed, she doesn't know love: her mom is an alcoholic, she has no friends and her father left her. There isn't anything left for her on earth so she decides to commit suicide and jumps of a bridge. But what goes through her head before the light goes off? She sees a dream with her in the main role of a life she could never have on earth. What would that perfect dream be? What has become of her mom? How will she be at the age of twenty-five, thirty, fifty? I entered this story for the freshman15s short story contest.

Dive

SOPHIE BROOKS: Party, hook-up, hangover, repeat. I don't do rules, responsibility, or monogamy. So when the chance to sleep with the hottest Olympian swimmer in the country presents itself, you can be damn sure I take it. And sneak out before he wakes up the next morning. This has been my way of life for years, and nothing has challenged it. Until him. Charming, ambitious, he draws me in and then refuses to leave. He's persistent, annoyingly so, keeps coming back like a damn boomerang. And he's getting a little too close, asking a little too many questions. Questions I refuse to answer. Some things are just supposed to stay forgotten. JAYDEN SENNELS: Swimming is my life. I basically breathe water. Growing up the way I did, going to the Olympics seemed like an unattainable dream. But here I am, just fresh out of my first games, and I messed up. Big time. Everything was riding on me doing well. Failing wasn't an option. Now I have one last year at college to redeem myself. Enter her. Tall, confident, she seduces me, refuses to tell me her name, and has me waking up to an empty bed. She is an enigma, and there is most definitely something she's not telling me. From the moment I saw her, I knew. This woman is trouble in high heels. She will destroy me. And I am going to love it. 🏊‍♂️ WARNING: Strong language and sexual content. This is a book about when the past comes back to haunt you. Book #1 in the Medley series
