It's several years after The Whisperer failed to take over Maddy's body. Everyone has returned from the Underworld only for arguments to constantly break out between the Aesir and Vanir over what really happened, and who to blame. After much time spent stressed to her wits end and with nobody since Odin's death to call her friend, Maddy ends up getting into deep trouble with a certain Trickster. Will they be able to keep their relationship a secret, and what will be the consequences if they can't?
