Up until Catherine turned 15, the darkness had been her friend. There was a strange comfort in hearing the constant chirping of crickets through the night, and there was him. Although his face was never visible, Catherine never failed to recognized the familiar presence. Only that was when she lived at her grandmothers house. When she returns four years later, a part of her feels the urge to search for the familiar presence, yet another part feels the overwhelming need to turn and run.
