Strong hands stroked soft, brown, tangles of hair.
"Don't."
Josh rested a comforting hand on Tyler's cheek, making sure that their gazes met. The stern look of understanding that Tyler found hidden in those dark brown eyes was almost enough to startle him. The larger man was searching for something and Tyler felt like he was being dissected, all of his secrets spilling out like guts onto the table.
The smaller boy took a shaky breath in. "Don't?"
"Don't."
