Craig, Tricia, their  mom Lauren and their dad Thomas visit their summer home for a month. Craig and Tricia not being thrilled about staying there wander off into town looking for something interesting to lighten up the bland day. They find a meat cellar with a peculiar boy in it named Kenny McCormick asks for assistance in figuring out the missing children cases in their town. All they know is that for every missing child there is another magpie hung up on a wall & the diner that they are volunteering at may just hold the secrets to the little town in the mountains.

The Tucker's visit the town of Charles Valley over the summer. Although things are different from when they had visited last time. The town still had the same rainy days and the same people but children all around the town have been going missing with no explanation at all. They disappearances have no rhythm or reason to them so nobody knows who to trust or who to wary of.  The small town although quite holds secrets never to be told.
