Genichiro Sanada has only known to be strict and unfeeling to everyone but met with her, he feels the need to soften his tone, to sweeten his words. Because while she might feel as cold as she looked, there was something all too sorrowful and frightened in her eyes that for once, he feels the urgent need to protectively hug her close.

The small girl who trembles even at the sight of a tennis racket and refuses to touch a single tennis ball, yet, who became the sole Coach of Hyōtei, leading the National team along with her brother, was a mystery to everyone. Only Atobe knows the grief behind those eyes and while he tries his best to bring out the cheerful and as exceptional of a prodigy as him she used to be, he knows his attempts are futile.

He thought she would never be able to walk out of those nightmares until Sanada comes along and proves him wrong. While the small girl has been frightened to her very cores, even deeper, is the heart that refuses to give up on the sport she used to love.
