Silent Soul

"Ash?"

"Y-Yes, D-Do-Doctor." Came out a whisper.

"You need to do it okay." The six year old trembled small tears streaming down his face, looking down to his lap.

"I can't..I don't want too...its mean I don't lik...I don't to be mean." Sniffling, wiping the tears and mucus on the back of his oversized pullover sleeve.

"But it'll help you." The gentle doctor stressed to young Ash.

"It's not a cure, but like a way of coping." The child sighed..he's about to give in the, doctor can feel it.

"You just need to silence your soul." The little one looked up to meet the face of the woman doing her job.

But this practice, this way of treatment. It's immoral and unethical, for no doctor or anyone, for that matter, should try to open the darkness within someone just so they can feel some sort of light...for that light is just the flames of their soon to come demise.

"What does that mean? How do I do that?" The doctor smile and sad one tilting her head to the side.

"You just have to do what I told you over our many visits, okay." The kid nodded causing the lady to produce another smile if only he knew what that smile foretold, for it wasn't happy. But rather sad because she just practice the most despised amongst the most despised ways of helping cope with...
