Nel Fisher - better known as The Bluster - is a super hero. And a darned good one at that, thank you very much. She uses her air manipulation to get people free from car wrecks, maybe rescue the odd cat or two. Oh, and save the city from impending doom. Stafford has a new villain - the Hammer. And he's hell-bent on total annihilation. But that's not the only thing Nel has to worry about. A new hero has shown up in town. They call him the Red Laser - due to his loads of pent up anger and cutting wit. And probably the red lasers that beam from his fingers play a part too. Red Laser knows Nel's identity, something she is not in the least bit pleased about. Nel has no idea who he is, and she's determined to find out. Not to mention he's a sarcastic annoying dumbass who keeps showing up in her bedroom unannounced. If Nel wants to survive then she is going to have to figure out three things: what The Hammer is planning; how to tolerate Red Laser without wringing his neck; and how to save her abysmal chemistry grades. Red Lasers somewhat tiresome attitude isn't the only confusing and worrying thing about him. He may have all the gizmos and gadgets any regular old superhero would have, but he's got one difference. Red Laser's suit consists of sweatpants. It's something Nel can't understand. If you're going to play the hero, why not dress the part?

I watched him watch me as he was about to press his fist into the big red button that read "Emergency Fire!". I was unable to form words because, I thought about how hot he looked as he stared back at me with such intensity. It just intrigued me. I finally snapped out of my trance, but not because I'd came to my senses, but because I felt a cold sensation running down my body. I blinked about three times before it finally registered that he'd pressed the button and now water was spilling from the roof, and some students were laughing and playing. My breath hitched in my throat as he came closer. "You really should've worn a more, I don't know, a thicker shirt or bra. Because your two lovely friends are standing at attention." as the words left his mouth, realization caught up to me and I flushed with embarrassment and quickly crossed my arms over my chest. Talk about scarred for life! Jerk. Meet Charm Mill, your typical nerdface. She's the smartest girl in school, straight A's, great punctuality.. eveything in the book. She's also the invisible girl. No one notices her. But, for her, that's a great thing. She feels that going unnoticed means less drama, which is correct. But, what happens when Heath Cullen gets himself in trouble because he's not performing the way he should and the principal forces Charm to tutor him? Will this be a ticket to hell or a ticket for the bad boy to find his true love? Copyrighted. ©
