Blood seeped into the ground like slimy pink worms wiggling their way into a rotten red stained apple, trying desperately to flee the scene. The smell of blood, sweat, and tears was heavily smelt in the air, and the tension held filled with fear had another distinction all by itself.
He placed one foot in front of the other, large strides eventually landing him right in front of her in that second.
In that moment he could only look down at her with dark cold eyes and fists clenched as he watched blood trail down the side of her face, dropping off of her caramel skin. Blood he couldn't tell was hers or blood she spilled from the damned pelt of a rogue. Suddenly he knew he wanted her, even if she were damned, and even if she were the one that could bring him, a King, to his knees
