Three years ago, Shota Aizawa made a life changing choice, adopting the only child of the former number three and four heroes, the late Mitsuko Maeda and hero-turned-villian Karasu Kage, after being his foster child for about a year, he took them under his wing, permanently. Now, at the age of fifteen, he finds out that the individual that he has raised for the past four years has been recommended to U.A.'s Hero Course.

But, when they join the Hero Course, their past begins to catch up with them, they realize something, and start to ask theirself; is being a hero really want they want?
