Both Annie and Shawn do everything together. They even date at the same time and if one get's their heart broken the other has to too. They synchronize.
Synchronize is to occur at the same time or rate.
Now that they are growing older their innocent friendship is slowly and rigidly turning into an awkward sexual tension. Then Shawn gets a record deal and their whole friendship starts to get rocky. Also with the jealousy of their partners. They find that it's hard to do everything together when they should be moving on with life.
Will these two friends eventually give up on each other and move on?
