Six months after the coronation of King Ben and the five Vks are still living in Auradon. But since they came from the villain background, can they really leave it all behind? 

In this story Mal and her twin sister Megan, they just can't seem to let the past go. But what will that mean? Will they go back to the Isle of the Lost? Or will they confront and deal with their pasts?

Change was good. Change had started to happen. VK day was celebrated, the happy prospect of new Villain kids coming over to Auradon to have their chance. But not everyone wanted the change that Ben, Mal and Alex were trying to create. Especially not Audrey. After the new villain arrises, together the old VKs and the new ones have to raise against her, but they also have to bury their pasts and work with old enemies in order to save everyone they love. Evie had started a business, Jay was captain of the fencing team, and Carlos was taking being a future prince in strid. all had done well for themselves. all accept Mal who found herself cracking under the pressures of being the future queen, she couldn't take it she ran. The rest of the Vk's along with the the king and princess race after her.
