When All Begun, magic and gods roamed wild across the planet. This era has long come to end though. Magic is rare these days, as the Old Ones are but a faint memory, kept in the hearts of great mountains and deep sea trenches.
This story follows a New Generation of Watchers, who started their jobs about 3000 years ago.
And when the humans first came along, and the Watchers didn't have to hide themselves from humanity yet, they started calling the periods where they would roam Europe on the lookout for threats after the Watcher that would be on guard that... month.
It's been at least a couple of centuries since the Twelve last had to battle for the sake of the continent, maybe the entire Earth even. Little do they know, that their biggest threat yet is on the rise...
TL:DR January and her 11 siblings try to keep magic and gods to not destroy too much of the world but they got Issues tm...
Chapters will most probably be edited even after I've published them because,,, I can't write.
I don't know how frequently this story will be updated, as I'm still kind of experimenting with it, but I hope you enjoy it anyway! It's a project I've been working on for such a long time already, it's very close to my heart and I'm so happy to finally put it out here! :D

The story revolves around a group of people from all over the world: Madleine and Marik Winterfeldt, siblings by choice and Gene, a young noble living in the old Holy Empire of German Nation, a nation riddled with magical infested rifts as literal scars of war, and in continuesly danger of being at war again with it's powerful neigbour, The Holy French Empire of the Sun. On the other side of the planet, in the United Kingdom of America, magic abled people have more possibility to work with their "blessing", if it is viewed more useful. This means to fight against giant beasts from faultlines, that have strange connections to rifts. There is a band of people quite successful with it and one in particular is celebrated like a popstar: Hades, (self-declared) God of the Underworld, trying to survive a world where the only worth a person like him is how much money he generates for the large companies called "guilds". It's a world ruled by chaos. A mad world indeed.
