Josette Mikaelson is a descendant of a woman who was part of the Salem Witch trials that occurred in the late 1600's. They believe that Josette is a witch as well, in fear of her life she runs away from her family ending up in Boston Massachusetts. She is taken in the care of Sarah Shaw and Francis Shaw, the parents of Robert Gould Shaw. Robert is an American solider and is away from his home for three years, Josette has been staying with his parents for one year, Robert comes back but needs to head of to war yet again as the Colonel in Charge of the 54 Massachusetts Infantry, the first all-black regiment in the Northeast. He needs a assistant and a partner Josette volunteers to help fight in the battle against the confederate willing to risk her life for the slaves freedom.

He doesn't grieve for his loss of family however, until it was time for him and his brother Marques to leave his aunt Jenny cared for them and gladly took on the rule her sister gave up. now, 19 years since he was abandoned Miles had kinda become famous as the White Tiger, he often takes it upon himself to stop any sketchy or just plain wrong shit going on in the woods. he is somewhat stronger then your average tiger, able to take on most other animals without serious injury. when he catches a glimpse of tan fur and starts to feel a pull he never thought he'd feel he realizes his simple life may be about to go to shit. Wildflowers In The Ruins: A 1917 Story by Snowdropsdream

Completed fan fiction for the film 1917: This is the very first fan fiction I've ever attempted. Please be kind. I hope you like it. It features all of the main characters, several of the others, plus many I've created. Northern France, April 1917: A Voluntary Aid Detachment nurse is sent on an urgent mission across no-man's land accompanying two Lance Corporals, but she will have her own mission to fullfil also and be tested in ways she never deemed possible. Each chapter is named after a flower, relevant to the story, and that you can encounter growing in the wild, either in Britain or Northern France, with the exception of roses and Sweet William's. This story does contain spoilers from the film so it's really worth watching it first. Chapers two (from around halfway through) to eight I've taken directly from the film. The script is copyrighted to Sam Mendes and Krysty Wilson-Cairns, although I've worked from what's spoken in the film rather than off the script. I've taken inspiration from other films, television and books (fiction and non-fiction) set in the First World War too such as Forgotten Voices, The Roses Of No-Man's Land, War Horse, The Crimson Field, Private Peaceful, They Shall Not Grow Old, Testament Of Youth, Journey's End and Birdsong. I've also taken inspiration from the beautiful book A Song For Will which is based on the true story of the gardeners and labourers from the Heligan Estate in Cornwall. Every character who isn't featured in the film 1917 is fictitious and the names are entirely made-up, although every female character's Christian name in my story belongs to a female relative of mine who was alive at the time of the First World War, for example my four Great-grandmothers were Mary-Jane, Lavinia, Ada and Alice.
