I look at California. She sits on my lap in the circle of us pot heads. She's not what I expected. She smokes she's the most sarcastic person I've ever met. She's smart but hates school. Heck when we first talked Tuesday she called me handsome and looked confused herself. She acts like she has no secrets, and maybe she doesn't, but there's something different about her. She holds confidence yet she's shy. She smokes even though she's supposed to be the typical good girl. I'm determined to find out what she's hidding if it's the last thing I do. "Baby it's almost one am." I say glancing at my phone. "We should head out, your dad already dislikes me." She turns back to me and nods. She lightly stands up and walks to the door but waits for me to walk with her. "Trevor!" She yells in her friends ear making him jump away from her other friend Greg. "You get a ride with Mar okay?" But I have a smaller one with a blue eye beside it. The blue eye means leader.
