New Earth houses the human population, but only due to specific terms of surrender:

Once a month, ten citizens from each city under the age of 18 must participate in the Deathmatch, a gladiator-style battle enacted between humans for the sake of both entertaining the Q'itasi alien race, and defending humanity's rights to remain upon their own planet.

Luke Alexander has been chosen to participate in the first Deathmatch of the new year. His only goal is survival, but he soon discovers that it doesn't end there.All Rights Reserved
