Life is ever changing. That could be a good thing sometimes, because that means life changes for the better. For Avery Height though, it's the contrary. With her life consistently taking a turn for the worst, she's come to think that the good things in life never last. Loneliness. Extreme turmoil. Betrayal. Fear. Pain. That's all she has now. All she wants is a chance to feel normal again. Nathaniel Summers. He's charismatic, sociable, everything a guy could be (according to social norms). Under any normal circumstance, the two would never be more than acquaintances. However, Nate’s friendship provides something that Avery can’t help but gravitate to: normalcy. Will Nathaniel be able to restore Avery's faith in life?

Nathaniel is a former underdog turned centre of sexual objectification. But he still hasn't gotten used to the change in how he's treated now that he's had his dance with puberty. On the inside he's still the same sometimes shy, introverted, sensitive little guy. Sure he has fun here and there being the centre of attention, but all introverts know, that the social battery soon runs low. That is until a pretty girl in the car park makes him want to be the centre of all her attention for the rest of his life. This is that look of complete awe and adoration that men have on their faces in movies when they see the girl they're in love with walk down the stairs, like they've never seen someone else look more beautiful, like they see her and they feel like they just discovered a new rare gem stone. She's glowing. Her skin, her hair, her dress. I start walking towards her and it's like she's a magnet, pulling me to herself in a way I can't control. Once I'm standing in front of her she places her palms on my shoulders and moves them down to my elbows, her eyes trained on mine as her hands reach back up to my hair where she soothingly combs through it with her fingers.
