Salvation

Kim Junmyeon's life was not the best. A nasty divorce at the age of twenty-five has left him to find solace at the bottom of a bottle more often than he would ever care to admit. And it wasn't like his upbringing was any better with a mother who was barely an entity in his life to a father that told him relentlessly he was better off dead. So Junmyeon drinks to escape his hellish, nightmare life, until one night he finally falls over the edge with very little signs of coming back.

Zhang Yixing is a carefree, free-lance writer from China fresh out of university. He loved his home country dearly, but he decided he needed a change of pace in his life. That, and his cousin who'd lives in Korea for many years called him frantically one night, on the verge of a panic attack. Apparently his boyfriend locked himself in their shared bathroom and tried desperately to overdose on pills. So Yixing arrives as a sort of comfort to the both of them.

It's in rehab the two men fatefully meet. One to get clean and one for moral support. Junmyeon is quickly drawn to the foreigner who reminds him of an inkling of a life he once had a shot at. But maybe Yixing is just the salvation he needs. To save him from his past and the pressure from those around him. But mostly from himself.
