Brokenclaw's path continues, and he works as hard as he can to become a better version of himself. But one cat and one event that has happened in his past, seems to keep him trapped. He can't move on until that day is left in the past for good.

Gingerflame's life goes on as normal, and with Wolfrunner back at her side, nothing could get better. But there are challenges soon to come to FireClan, and Drizzlestar faces an enemy she thought she would never see again.

Talonthorn is still trying to figure out what the message from StarClan he received is about. In the meantime, he can't help but try to become closer with Froststream. Cats become worried for him getting injured so much just to have an excuse to see Froststream. Little does Talonthorn know, that the cats he thinks are the closest are actually the ones he can't trust at all.

In AshClan, Slatepaws's sharp attitude and ego is finally catching up to him and he is forced to go through a very harsh wakeup call which forces him to change his perspective, despite his reluctance. In MountainClan, Mountainstar's life has changed completely in only two moons and she struggles to be a good leader while trying to build confidence, pride and respect within her Clan of rouges, kittypets and loners. In MoonClan, Leopardpaw is happy to return to her normal life as a warrior but tensions and unrest are brewing a storm within the normal peaceful Clan and as an apprentice, she fears there is nothing she can do to stop it. In SunClan, Blossompaw is fighting a constant battle with her self-worth and second guessing all of her skills, always pushing herself to the brink of exhaustion and still never feeling good enough, just desperately trying to be a good SunClan warrior. Owlpaw has finally set her paws on the path of a medicine cat, but despite her best efforts she still feels out of place and in the way, and to make things worse she is faced with another mission from StarClan, and if she fails this one; death and violence could consume all five Clans.

Frostpaw becomes more independent then ever as cats from outside the Clan roams inside the Clans. The senior warriors of ThunderClan have met them before and eagerly accepts them into the Clan. Frostpaw feels that they are weird and tries to stay away from them any way that she can, but what happens when something horrible happens? A litter of kits is born that very night, Wolfkit and Frostkit. Ashstar realizes Wolfkit is the prophesied cat and doesn't know how to react. As Wolfkit struggles with her ability, Frostkit has trouble with OutClan, seeing she has been gifted with supreme hunting and fighting skills. Both the she-cats go through hardships and battle having the temptation of mates as young apprentices, one far worse than the other. But sooner or later, Darky is accepted and the prophecy continues. Wind Clan learns more and more from, and about this rogue. Wind Clan even feels more confident as kits become apprentices, and prey is becoming less scarce, but no cat thought about leaf-bare as of yet. Though, StarClan can't prevent a cat from falling into darkness, they can only delay it.
