This is a short story I wrote earlier this year about a failing lock maker named Benjamin Oakley. After the untimely death of the love of his life he's cursed where every time he feels great guilt his face closes up in strips like tape. A magical thing emerges from the ground one day and it's filled with a liquid that can cure anything.
