When We Meet

Through the oceans, and in the sky,
Swims a mermaid, way up high,
Her hair and fins light up the night,
A first fresh breath, through her lit eyes,

But on to land, she can never come,
As land's forbidden for the special one,
For beneath the earth, lives a dark another,
For a breath she gives, he takes the other
