6 Years ago on September 16th, 20 children around the world went missing at the exact same time. These children rendered from age 5- to 10, and never turned up. No one knew where they went. 

Until 6 years later. These children where brainwashed, drugged, and abused. Nearly all died from a fatal accident, or killed themselves following orders. One survived. Experiment #4382 survived.

Elias Crimson has always run from her past. When orphaned at age five, her life took a full 180. She was taken to Hydra to be experimented on. She lived in a base in Austria, her home country. At age seventeen, she was sent to America for schooling, a bit more of experimenting, then finding a job at Hydra: being the Winter Soldier's caretaker. But when Steve Rogers confronted her, she realized she was in the wrong. To make up for her wrongs, she helped SHIELD, but soon, Hydra found out. They sent the Winter Soldier after her, wanting to eliminate her so she didn't become a problem for them. Now working with SHIELD, Elias starts to understand how to be more human than what Hydra made her out to be. But when events happen and she becomes a runaway with the Winter Soldier, the former Hydra Agent must make decisions that could be the "saving grace".... This book doesn't line up with the Marvel Universe, the past, present and future don't all line up, I've changed things a bit for how I want them to be. ... I open my eyes and immediately close them again, bright lights shine down on me. I think back to why I'm in this situation, why I'm laying on a table with the smell of disinfectant in the air. ⏪ I was getting everyone out of a building at the centre of the Skylea attack, there was a trapped boy, I had to save him. When I found him my attention drifted to a window, out of it I saw something heading straight for us, so I grabbed him and ran down the stairs as fast as I could. When we were nearly to the front door it crashed into us, the building started collapsing, I told him to run. I tried to get out but I heard creaking, stupidly I turned around, a metal rod from I don't know where impaled me, I was trapped. The bloodloss and the fact that I hit my head on the floor wasn't doing me any favours. I tried to stay awake, I did, I focused solely on Tasha's voice. Clint was coming for me, but I feared he'd be too late, I could hear him trying to get to me but I felt myself fall unconscious. ⏩ I didn't think I'd wake up.
