"Jacob," somebody was calling my name. "Jacob wake up!!"
"Nggg?" I grumbled sleepily. My eyes focused on Hayley, standing beside me.
"The pen door is open! We can escape now, half of all the other horses has!"
"But how will we survive? What will we eat?"
Hayley attempted to roll her eyes. "Jacob, do you want to be stuck here forever? I'm sure we'll find another ranch that will take us in." She seemed so confident that it was hard not to believe her.
"Oh all right, but don't blame me if we starve to death" I said, nibbling my last pieces of hay.
So off we went...

One night though, everything changed. I had gotten lost somewhere in the woods in the middle of the mountains with my horse Storm. Usually I knew exactly where I was going and where I was but my horse had gotten spooked and raced far into the mountains. I tried slowing Storm down but he wouldn't. I became lost with no idea where to go and that's when he showed up. He claimed that I was his mate and I was to be his forever. Thinking he was crazy, I turned Storm around to start running but imagine my surprise when he raced ahead of me and changed into a wolf right in front of my eyes.
