It's been years since the reaping of the famed Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark, and now our story focuses on a different generation of teenagers, and curiously enough a seven-year old girl, participating in the annual Hunger Games. In a race where the tributes all struggle to make themselves stand out to survive, one particular group of allies unknowingly defy all laws of reality. Can the Capitol retain their sanity as they bear witness to the destruction of years worth of manipulation and intimidation, by a group of ragtag crazies and emotionally stunted teenagers no less?
"PeeNiss 4 Evah?" Joey read, disgusted. "Did someone just misspell the reproductive organ of the male specimen?"
"No, you idiot!" Katy snapped, inspecting the writing critically. "It's referring to the Peeta/Katniss pairing from the 74th annual Hunger Games."
Joey merely stared forward unbelievingly, as if shocked by the fact that she really didn't know everything. Katy scoffed at the piece of graffiti. "I can't believe Mom made my initials after this ho'," she grumbled

The Fourth Olympics
We all know the story of the Mockingjay Rebellion. Sixteen year old Katniss Everdeen volunteers for her twelve year old sister for this event called The Hunger Games where twenty four children fight to the death and only one comes out as victor. A boy named Peeta Mellark was reaped alongside her. These two come out of the games as "Starcrossed Lovers". This caused a few uprisings in some districts. President Snow doesn't want another rebellion so he sends Katniss and Peeta back into the games with other Victors from each district. This causes a whole other war and this time, the districts pull out on top. The Hunger Games are ended and Snow is executed and everyone is safe again. Yeah, let's fast foward about fifty years. Every one know the story of how my older sister, Katniss Everdeen, the girl on fire, and her fellow tribute, Peeta Mellark, won The Hunger Games. This is my story, when I, Primrose Everdeen, was picked to compete in the 76th Hunger Games. ~~~~ I was reaped once, for the 74th annual Hunger Game. I was 12, my first year being entered. My sister promised me nothing would go wrong, even gave me a mockingjay pin to protect me. We both went to the reaping, and my name was pulled. Let me just say, the odds were not in my favor. Katniss volunteered. I screamed and begged her not to go, but she did, for me. She protected me. Like the mockingjay pin, she was my mockingjay. It;s been five years since then, I’m 17 now. I’ve learned how to throw knives, hunt and climb trees, in fear of being reaped. Sure enough, the day of reaping comes around and I’m reaped. We know her story. But have you ever wondered what it was like on the home front, in District 12? This story is Gale's, his outlook on the games, his feelings about his best friend's situation, and his interactions with the people of District 12. The story is set during the time period of "The Hunger Games" (book one of the trilogy). It is written from the perspective of Gale Hawthorne, and does not concern any events in books two and three. This is my first fan fiction, my first "real" attempt at long form prose writing, and my first Wattpad story. I appreciate constructive feedback, but please, no hate. While the characters and some plot points are based off of Suzanne Collins's Hunger Games Trilogy, (which I in no way own the rights to) I have created this story using my own imagination.
